| If you don't lower it more than 40mm you wont need new shocks, you can get some springs from ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAMEX-Lowering-Springs-Seat-Leon-1-8T-1-9Tdi-40mm-/230367728788?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35a2fc9494
something like that should be fine, i had similar on my fiesta and now on my celica and if you cant fit them yourself it shouldn't cost more than £20 a corner to get them fitted. | |

| just cut your springs lol, ive cut springs on loads of cars from 45hp to 300+. all the hype about it being dangerous is bullshit, the only danger is people not knowing what they are doing. | |

| Yer man, chop em!! I have a set of -50mm uprated springs which I then practically cut in half! If its done right you will have no issues. Dont get involved with the testicles of " you shouldnt cut springs". Everyone jumps on the wagon but no one I know has had a single problem.
Chop them a coil and see how it sits. If you are feeling brave, do two coils. When re-fitting them, attach them to the car, either wire them in or small jubellie clip so they are super safe.....Job done.
