PostSubject: changing My Mileage..   Thu Sep 30, 2010 4:36 pm

When i bought my gti the dials didnt work so i had to buy some new ones.. the car had done 65866 miles.. but the only dials i could find read 70749 miles..
since owning it iv only done 3000 odd miles so my car should read 68866 or similar.. but it reads 73843.. because of the new dials.. how can i get them back to how they are meant to be!

Are you able to get the exact mileage? Off somewhere else? Also if the dials didn't work are you sure that it had done 65866 miles or is that just what it said on the dash?

I only ask because there's no point in adjusting the dials to another inaccurate reading.

Get a small electric motor like out of a remote controlled car and use that?
